Tapiocaville
about.
Tapiocaville is a playful exploration of the brand identity of a Boba shop known for its classy yet whimsical vibe.
The thought process behind the logo was to have both the tapioca and the villa/hut encompassed in one icon. Whereas the mascot is supposed to be made of glass with milk tea contained in it while being shaped like tapioca pearls.
The design uses hand-lettered typography and features a thick, glossy finish to mimic the texture of boba pearls, while the soft blue concentric circles in the background signify class and refined nature. The custom lettering was crafted to feel "squishy" and organic, echoing the circular shapes of the tapioca pearls overflowing from the cup.
Using a clean, bold line-art style ensures the illustration has a cartoony and approachable feel.
